Resolution for Faculty Senate Approval of the Abolition of the Minor in
Athletic Training, Department of Physical Education,
College of Education and Human Services

WHEREAS the Department of Physical Education no longer has sufficient enrollments in the Minor in Athletic Training to justify the program; and

WHEREAS the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs is requiring all programs to drop minors; and

WHEREAS the entire faculty in the Department of Physical Education has voted to abolish the Minor, a decision which the College of Education and Human Services has forwarded to the Provost; and

WHEREAS the Undergraduate Education Policy Committee has discussed this matter and recommends that it be accepted;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Faculty Senate approve the abolition of the Minor in Athletic Training for the B.S. in Physical Education, College of Education and Human Services.
