ATTACHMENT CResolution to Approve the Reviewers for 2002-03 Academic Program Review
WHEREAS the University Provost's office has provided the Faculty Senate with the list of internal program reviewers for the 2002-03 academic year; and
WHEREAS the integrity of this process is critical to the quality of the reviews and thus of the programs themselves; and
WHEREAS the Faculty Senate has worked with the provost's office to ensure that integrity;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Faculty Senate approve the attached list of internal reviewers provided by the Provost's office, subject to the expression of the following on-going concerns: 1) that each undergraduate program have more than one internal reviewer; 2) that three internal reviewers are more than enough; 3) that programs not be reviewed by reviewers whose own programs are under review by a faculty member from the other program; and 4) that all reviewers be members of the faculty.
